While everyone is just starting their summers and enjoying the lazy days by the pool or on the lake, I am starting my first summer class. Boy did I shoot myself in the foot with this one. I took the entire month of May off and selfishly twiddled my thumbs doing nothing! Didn't think ahead on this one. So obviously if the class is only a month long it's going to be on hyper drive and that means a book a week, three papers, and several discussion posts online. HA ... so here I am Thursday night of week one; two and half papers down, and all my posts complete with the first due date looming in my future for tomorrow.
Sadly I have always been a procrastinator and probably always will be. But I'm really kicking myself as I'm stressed with apply for scholarships, student loans, moving, class, and now mandatory overtime at work. I can't complain because it's all a means to an end, and the time in a half at my current job will certainly far exceed the piddly half time job I see in my future.
So I guess I need to stop and take time to count my blessings and know that all this hard work is going to pay off someday!
Now if only I could find a nice person to rub my shoulders while I hunch over my laptop and text books the rest of the night.... one can dream right :)
