I just got back from a great weekend in Minnesota with some great friends. We had a blast eating great food, boating in the rain, watching Sofie and Andy rock the Sprint Tri in Minnetonka, watching movies, and enjoying each others craziness!
I love my friends and I love the fact that God has blessed me with so many!! I can't believe all the people I want to make sure I see before I move. And, I can't help but know that I am truly blessed. But it is bittersweet! I love that I have so many cherished people in my life! I love that God has called me to serve Him and become a Director of Christian Education. I cannot wait to start this new chapter in Austin. However, saying good-bye and not knowing when I will see everyone I care about again is a very tough pill to swallow.
Although I know some will come to visit me, and that I will see family again it's hard for me to think about leaving them all in only a little over a month. Saying good-bye to my friends in Minnesota this weekend was the beginning of the good-byes, and although it was sad it makes me smile to know that I have such an amazing support structure back in the Midwest cheering me on.
In the next month I will be trying to visit, see, and spend all the time I can with everyone I love so much!! So, hopefully I buy a new memory card for my camera soon so I can document all these happenings and report back.
And although leaving people I love sucks, I have faith that God brings people into your life for a reason and leads you down new paths for a reason too! So here's to always keeping your eyes open to God's blessings and learning to embrace the path He leads you down.
God Bless!!
Kate
