I've heard it said, that good things happen to those who wait. I've also heard it said, time will tell.
Well, I've been praying and praying for almost a year that God would take a few burdens from me that I have been struggling with. I prayed that He would heal my broken heart and soul; and that in everything bring it back to glorify Him. And well, these last few weeks I am finally getting to see the answers to these prayers come into my life.
God, opened a door for an opportunity of healing. 9:08 last week ( a student led worship time for those of you who don't know) started this processes of healing, and I'm seeing it continue into this week. It began for me with this song....http://youtu.be/oyPBtExE4W0
This song started literally in 9:08 worship service at just the right time to line up perfectly with my prayer I was praying (again, showing God's timing is truly AMAZING!!) It was literally what I was thinking and what I needed to hear and was finally ready to hear.
In no way am I saying I am 100% healed from the things that have been weighing me down, or from my past; but I'm finally starting to see the healing process take shape and it's glorious!!! I'm finally starting to see how God takes those bad things that happen in your life and use them for His glory. PRAISE GOD!!!
So, I'll leave you with this bible verse. It's Concordia Texas' "theme verse" for the year, but I read it again today and have found it to have a lot of meaning at this point in my relationship with Christ.
Philippians 3: 13-14 Brothers and Sisters, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead. I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.
God Bless!!
Kate
